Last week the Photovoltaics course took place at ESES. All key concepts of the field of Photovoltaics (PV) were introduced to students, such as solar cells, PV modules, basic PV sizing and simulation, among others.

The thesis was done in Dalarna University on request of Falu Energu & Vatten, which is responsible for the electricity grid, district heating, district cooling, power generation, urban networks, recycling, and water sanitation in the municipality of Falun.

The students in the second year of the Master Program have successfully completed the Project Course in Solar Energy Systems. This is essentially a practical course, where students choose a project, get organized assuming different project roles, and execute the different tasks according to a project plan. This is a great way to learn the basics of project management.

Master Thesis Presentations

Today some ESES students have presented their Master Thesis, in front of ESES faculty and students, as well as some online attendants.

Taking advantage of the summer break, some ESES students have started internships in Swedish solar-related companies and other international organizations. This is a great way to get some first hands-on experience in the industry, thus complementing the knowledge gained at the university.

During the spring semester a 15 credit (~2.5 months) or a 30 credit (4-5 months) thesis project is carried out by students who choose the one year program. Two year program student's carry out during their last semester a 30 credit master thesis project.
